The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort debuted last week, marking the brand’s entrance to Hawai’i’s Big Island. The property’s multimillion dollar renovation included new guestrooms and suites, four new culinary concepts and public spaces.

“The June 25, 2018 opening of The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort reinforces that the brand is continuing to grow in lockstep with the evolving demand of travelers, who are increasingly prioritizing their well-being while on the road — even when on vacation,” said Brian Povinelli, SVP and global brand leader, Westin Hotels & Resorts. “From our iconic Heavenly Bed and Gear Lending program, to our innovative fitness partnerships with Peloton and TRX, we are thrilled to offer a meaningful wellness proposition for travelers, as only Westin can.”

The property offers some of the largest rooms on the Kohala Coast, with 17 suites complementing the 232 guestrooms. The guestrooms and lobby alike boast a relaxing vibe, with a custom living wall and vertical garden. The color palette reflects the natural flora and fauna.

New on-site dining includes Meridia, a Mediterranean display kitchen; Naupaka Beach Grill, a casual, poolside experience with local brews; ‘Ikena Landing, an open-air breakfast venue; and Piko Coffee + Bar, serving 100 percent Kona coffee.

Adults enjoy an exclusive infinity edge pool with private cabanas, chaise lounges and pool ledge loungers. A family pool is also available. Families additionally have access to the Westin Family Program, with an updated Kids Club concept and family activities and amenities.
