United Airlines opened a Club lounge inside Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in November 2019. The lounge, near gate C7 in the airport’s new terminal, seats 95 guests and offers free WiFi, and ample power outlets and USB ports. COVID-19 may temporarily affect the lounge’s operating hours and procedures.
The menu includes “inventive twists on regional favorites including muffuletta and pimento cheese sliders, gumbo and rice, Cajun pepper dip and Creole egg salad,” and “local staples like Abita Amber beer and Southern Comfort.”
“Our expansion into New Orleans showcases United’s commitment to transforming the customer experience across all touch points and complements the beautiful new terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport,” said Alexander Dorow, managing director of premium services, United Airlines. “It’s a fresh location for us to begin our evolution to become more local and reach new audiences.”
The United lounge is complemented by the new Club MSY lounge, opened at the airport in February. It has a saxophone-shaped bar, hand-blown crystal chandelier, photography by David Spielman and artwork by Ayo Scott, both local artists.
There’s another United Club planned for Phoenix Sky Harbor International later this year, followed by a lounge at Newark Liberty International in 2021.
