Turkish Airlines is the latest airline to break records. Since 2012, Turkish Airlines has held the title of flying to the most countries in the world, and the airline is now being recognized by Guinness World Records. The national flag carrier successfully achieved the title of “Most Countries Flown to by an Airline.”

This achievement was celebrated with the presentation of a record certificate at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport after Turkish Airlines’ inaugural flight to Chile. The ceremony was attended by airline executives and Guinness World Records officials.

Based on Guinness World Records evaluation criteria, Turkish Airlines set the record with flights to 120 countries, reflecting only the active routes of the past 12 months. If you include temporarily suspended routes and the inaugural flight to Chile though, Turkish Airlines’ flight network serves 131 countries.
