While travel looks a bit different this year, TripAdvisor still named the top beaches in the world in anticipation of 2020 spring and summer travel. As people take to their cars to visit U. S. locales this summer, what is the top beach in the United States? According to the travel platform, Siesta Beach, located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, in Sarasota County. On an international scale, Siesta Beach ranked No. 11.
“It is a great honor to receive the Top Beach in the United States ranking by TripAdvisor Travelers again this year,” said Virginia Haley, president, Visit Sarasota County. “With soft, quartz-crystal sand, beautiful blue-green waters, a great selection of accommodations, restaurants and activities, Siesta Beach is truly a gem in our community. Visit Sarasota County is proud to market the destination and have such an asset to promote on the world stage. It is because of these travelers that we get to tout this designation!”
It’s not the first time Siesta Beach received this honor. TripAdvisor ranked Siesta Beach as best in the United States in 2015 and 2017.
Other beaches rounding out the top 10 beaches in the United States, according to TripAdvisor, are Saint Pete Beach, Florida; Ka’anapali Beach, Hawai’i; Pensacola Beach, Florida; Clearwater Beach, Florida; Cannon Beach, Oregon; Hollywood Beach, Florida; Panama City Beach, Florida; Litchfield Beach, South Carolina; and Napili Beach, Hawai’i.
