Tauck announced plans to fully restart its U.S. tours by July 1. Departures of the Southern Charms: Savannah, Hilton Head and Charleston tour have already begun, with other popular tours across the country relaunching in the coming months. Check the Open for Travel page for information on specific tour departures.

Health and safety protocols will feature prominently on all of Tauck’s 2021 itineraries, including mandatory use of masks, social distancing whenever possible and enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures. Guests must also sign a Travel Well Pledge, confirming they have either been vaccinated against COVID-19 or passed a PCR COVID-19 test within five days of departure, that they are free of virus-related symptoms and that they have not been in close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19.

A recent Tauck survey of more than 5,000 guests booked to travel now through September revealed a full 95 percent of respondents have already been vaccinated, with another 2 percent scheduled for vaccination.

Remarkable Medellín

Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.

Explore the Beguiling Towns of Sicily’s Val di Noto

Best known to tourists for the boisterous chaos of Palermo, the views of Mount Etna from idyllic Taormina, and for that capricious volcano itself, Sicily has far more to draw travelers. In Sicily’s southeast corner, one region encapsulates the Sicilian spirit that has seen it through conquest and natural disasters, a region less well-known to tourists but one of the island’s most beautiful and fascinating.
