Boba is all the rage right now. The delicious tapioca balls/drink originates from Taiwan from back in the '80s. This is something you’ve always been able to get in Korea Town and Little Osaka (now better known as Sawtelle Japantown) in Los Angeles. For the thoroughly authentic experience, you really have to be out in San Gabriel Valley, though.
