Running to 2,021 and Beyond
This morning I only ran three miles, which is unusual. This year I average running eight miles a day. Today, though, I gave myself a break because I hit my goal of running 2,021 miles this year. Since I documented the start and middle of attaining this goal here, I thought it fitting to celebrate reaching that goal.

Running to 2,021
I ran my last marathon in 2018. Without having to train for a marathon, I really lightened my running schedule the last two years, but I wasn't happy about that. Needing goals and structure, I decided to run 2,021 miles this year.
Running into 2021
I usually do not make New Year's resolutions, but I am setting a goal for next year. In 2021 I will run 2,021 miles.

Back on Track
Having reached six weeks since my gallbladder removal and with the okay from my doctor, I ventured to the Evanston lakefront for a run. I have done light exercise at home, including daily walks, but this was my first time really working out.
