Celebrating Black History Month
It can feel overwhelming knowing where to begin. Social media is an easily accessible resource for expanding your knowledge. Whatever types of accounts you enjoy following (food, fashion, humor), look to Black influencers to learn more. Many streaming services like Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix include easy-to-browse sections of content from Black filmmakers. Make it a goal to consume a variety of content. If your budget allows, seek out local and national Black-owned businesses to support. Whether it’s a café or a clothing brand, open your wallet to show support. Purchase books by Black authors, preferably from Black-owned bookstores. Make it a goal to continue these practices beyond February.

“And They’re Off!”
I can hear it in my head like it was yesterday — Derby Day. While 2020 possesses many different challenges, rescheduling and postponements, one thing this year cannot take from each of us is hope, the hope to return to our new normal, a settlement of what we can expect for the future of sports, travel, business and more.
