Doing AC
I grew up spending summers at the Jersey Shore, specifically in Margate City. I would wake up and dress myself in a swimsuit before heading downstairs for breakfast before a long day at the beach, followed by plenty of sunburnt naps and family barbeques. This weekend in Jersey was quite different as I spent my first weekend “doing AC.” And for those not familiar with the bumper sticker term of “Do AC,” I mean I spent my Saturday and Sunday at Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for all of the casino games, pool days and good food I could get my hands on. I certainly "did" AC.

We had a chance to experience one-of-a-kind dining experiences from the Borgata’s roster of celebrity chefs, including Wolfgang Puck, Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, Michael Schulson, Geoffrey Zakarian and special guest Alex Guarnaschelli.

Atlantic City in the Off Season
When my husband asked if I was interested in going along to a work event in Atlantic City, New Jersey, I replied, “Sure, I’m game!" I didn’t know if there was anything to do in Atlantic City when it’s cold out other than hit the casinos. We’re not much into gambling — I often say if it weren’t for bad luck, we’d have no luck at all — so I knew we’d probably steer clear of the games of chance.
