Southwest Airlines launches frequencies on more than a dozen new routes across North America this spring.
Last month, the carrier kicked off 11 new routes, including six nonstop flights from San Jose, Calif., (SJC). The new routes connect San Jose with cities like Boise, Idaho (BOI); Spokane, Wash., (GEG); St. Louis; New Orleans (MSY); and Albuquerque, N.M. (ABQ).
There are other new flights from California, including San Francisco (SFO)–Austin, Texas (AUS); Sacramento–Austin; Sacramento–St. Louis; Oakland–Newark (EWR); and San Diego (SAN)–Newark.
Southwest has also started flying nonstop between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Jacksonville, Fla., between Raleigh/Durham, N.C., and Kansas City, Mo., and between Austin and Indianapolis.
Starting last month, the carrier is flying a weekly nonstop service between Oakland and Orlando (MCO). Daily service along the route begins July 15.
New international flights include weekly seasonal service between Columbus, Ohio, and Cancún, and between New Orleans and Cancun.
