The newly launched people-to-people Shalom Cuba experience on offer from LATOUR promises a firsthand exploration of Cuba’s Jewish arts, culture, music, neighborhoods and history. The eight-night itinerary includes Havana, Santa Clara, Cienfuegos and Trinidad. A few of the highlights: Plaza of Revolution and El Patronato Jewish Community Center, Adath Israel Synagogue, and a visit to Cuba’s only kosher butcher. The itinerary also takes in Ernest Hemingway’s winter home, Finca Vigia (Lookout Farm), where his 9,000-volume library has been preserved along with his typewriter and yacht.

Other stops include the home and studio of Cuban artist Jose Rodriguez Fuster and the historic colonial theater Teatro de La Caridad. Departures are available from Miami.
