Scalloping season begins July 1 in Crystal River, Florida, and the Plantation on Crystal River is offering some deals just in time for the start of the season.
Guided scalloping options begin at $799 for mid-week stays for two and include a two-night stay; a guided scalloping tour with mask, snorkel and fins, accompanied by one of the area’s top captains; souvenir bag with mesh scalloping bag, scallop recipes and water; a chef-prepared cook-your-catch from the day’s harvest for lunch or dinner; and breakfast daily.
For those with their own boat, an unguided package begins at $419 for mid-week stays for two guests, including ramp launch, trailer storage and a seawall tie.
