Rosewood Hotels & Resorts recently teamed with SHVO, the New York-based, culture-defining real estate development and investment firm, to present the next chapter of the iconic Miami Beach property, The Raleigh. The companies completely restored and reimagined this three-acre retreat with 220 feet of ocean frontage.

Located in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Art Deco district, the property features distinct components designed by famed architect Peter Marino. Those features include a 60-room and -suite hotel managed by Rosewood that is entirely restored and modernized with luxury amenities and great service; Rosewood Residences Miami Beach, a newly constructed 17-story oceanfront tower with 44 residences; and a private members club offering beachfront dining.
“As the steward of Miami’s most iconic property, The Raleigh, I am thrilled to partner with preeminent luxury hotel brand, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, and world-renowned architect Peter Marino to reimagine and secure the rich legacy of The Raleigh, creating a new, unparalleled hospitality experience in Miami Beach,” said Michael Shvo, chairman and CEO, SHVO. “We are excited to introduce the hotel as well as the residences at The Raleigh, which offer the unique opportunity, for the first time ever, to live on property.”

Frequent SHVO collaborator Peter Marino will design the restoration of the property with the help of Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture. The team aims to create elegant and authentic contemporary design, while still keeping The Raleigh’s distinct Miami history in mind. The old Martini Bar and Tiger Room will be restored with an eye for both Miami’s Art Deco elegance and modern roots.
The contemporary new tower will be located next to the historic hotel and will house Rosewood Residences Miami Beach. The tower will feature 44 private homes with stunning ocean views.

When I first visited Costa Rica, I was ostensibly there for business. But after a few days in this tropical paradise, my trip started to feel more like a vacation than work. This isn’t to say I neglected my obligations, rather that my work meetings felt more pleasurable (and productive) than usual. The gorgeous jungle landscape combined with the pura vida lifestyle is a simply infectious combination, and it’s unsurprising the nation consistently ranks as the most popular tourist destination in Central America.
