Hilton Hhonors Recently Reached 25 Million Members, The Largest Enrollment In The Program’s History, With 2 Million New Members Added In 2009 Alone. To What Do You Attribute This Remarkable Achievement In The Current Economy?

Consumers are still price-sensitive and looking for great experiences at lower costs — all of which they can attain through loyalty program membership. Hilton HHonors provides more than 1,500 exclusive member-only offers each year and is the only loyalty program in which guests have the ability to earn points and miles for the same hotel stay, with no blackout dates or capacity controls on all standard rooms. We’re also known industry-wide for providing one of the fastest routes to elite status and one of the fastest ways to a free night’s stay. Year over year, HHonors rewarded members with 13 percent more free nights in 2009 — a total of 3.5 million nights in all (almost 10,000 per day).

What Other Attributes Set Hhonors Apart?

We have partnerships with some of the best brands in the business and can offer members more ways to earn and redeem points, giving them more value. We recently announced a new partnership with JetBlue, making Hilton Worldwide JetBlue’s very first hotel partner. Now Hilton HHonors and JetBlue’s TrueBlue members can earn one TrueBlue point for every two U.S. dollars spent on stays at any of the hotels in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.

Our quality customer service also sets us apart. Hilton Worldwide recently won the People’s Choice Stevie Award for best customer service in the leisure and tourism category.

Hilton HHonors boasts the strength of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, consisting of 10 hotel brands with more than 3,600 hotels in 81 countries, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations. We invite your readers to visit www.hiltonhhonors.com for our latest promotions or to become a member and receive regular email updates.

How Has Hilton Worldwide Stayed Competitive In The Increasingly Mobile World?

We are constantly working to anticipate our guests’ needs, and mobile technology is a great way for us to make the entire hotel experience more convenient. Hilton Worldwide now has iPhone applications available to guests who stay with our Conrad, Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites and Hampton Hotels brands. The application’s Request Upon Arrival service enables a traveler to place a room-service order through a mobile phone and arrive with dinner waiting in the guestroom. Other special features include a complete hotel search tool, room booking capabilities and mobile check-in.

Earlier this year, Hilton Worldwide launched HP’s ePrint mobile application, which enables guests to print documents directly from their BlackBerry to a hotel printer that is part of the HP PrinterOn network of public printers called PrintSpots. Close to one-third of the PrintSpots are located at hotels within Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio, including 1,300 Hilton, Doubletree, Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn properties.

Escape to Tahiti for a Captivating Island-Hopping Cruise

The 118 islands of French Polynesia reveal themselves layer by fascinating layer, with the spirit of mana (vital force) linking them all the way from Tahiti to the remote reaches of the Marquesas. This is part of the world best savored on a journey that dives as deep into culture as natural beauty, both above and below the water’s surface. A cruise makes it easy to cover a lot of ground while unpacking just once (and sneaking in some work done in comfort, too, during at-sea days). And cruising offers particular appeal within this semi-autonomous French territory sprawling across nearly 2 million square miles of ocean and covering five archipelagos.

The Shelbourne Review

Facing the vast St. Stephen’s Green in the heart of Dublin sits the iconic and historic The Shelbourne. Few hotels master the perfect blend of history and luxury, but The Shelbourne gets it right. The site of the signing of the Irish Constitution in 1922 granting the Republic of Ireland its freedom from England, The Shelbourne has hosted its fair share of notable figures, from Michael Collins to Princess Grace Kelly to John Ford, the latter of which was the name of my suite.
