ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: Newly opened in January 2024, the 42-story landmark Signia by Hilton Atlanta offers nearly 1,000 guestrooms and eight food and beverage experiences. Staying in a brand-new destination always has its perks, but I especially anticipated my stay at Signia by Hilton because of its close proximity to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Downtown Atlanta.
Signia by Hilton boasts quite an impressive lobby with floor-to-ceiling glass in the main entry and throughout the location. Once I arrived in the lobby, the welcome desk found my reservation and upgraded me to a room on the 38th floor, intuitively giving me a room facing the stadium. The view from the 38th floor was spectacular — only from such a height can one fully appreciate the enormous size of the stadium. What a sight!
GUEST QUARTERS: My room featured a king-sized bed; chaise lounge; work desk; and separate bar area with water bottles, Nespresso machine and a tea kettle for heating water. The bathroom provided ample space in the vanity area, double glass shower doors and a rainfall shower head. My room was cozy and quiet, feeling new and sharp.
Wellness rooms are also available on the dedicated wellness floor, with upgraded amenities and only steps away from Spa Signia, the hotel fitness center and beauty bar.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: According to property staff, Signia by Hilton was “created for event planners, by event planners.” Connected to Georgia World Congress Center, the hotel offers an ideal space for meetings and conventions but can also easily meet the needs of those attending major events at the stadium next door.
With eight different food and beverage experiences on site, the hotel reminded me of a Las Vegas-style convention center without all the fuss. My favorite eateries included Friendship Market with its wide selection of premium snacks alongside a chocolate room presenting more than 100 craft chocolate bars and treats from exotic locations around the world.
Further, Francis X. Gallagher (publisher and CEO, FXExpress Publications, Inc.) and I enjoyed dinner at Capolinea. We began our meal with tableside martini service followed by appetizers of beef carpaccio, meatballs and burrata. My main course of Bolognese was, of course, delicious. But the newly introduced La Farfalla dessert stole the show with its limoncello marmellata, caramelized almonds and pea flower gelato, changing colors after a light spritzing.
Finally, I also enjoyed access to Club Signia, offering light fare, cocktails, snacks and a private location for guests to steal away from the rest of the building — an excellent retreat in the midst of a large event-focused hotel.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- With more than 100,000 square feet of event space, Signia by Hilton proves an ideal location for corporate events and meetings.
- Superior access to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Georgia World Congress Center
- Incredible eating options, ranging from grab-and-go to fine dining, with reservations recommended
