ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: Valet service was prompt and efficient, and the reception provided a seamless and swift check-in. The lobby, characterized by its spaciousness, high ceilings and open layout, features a Starbucks on the ground floor along with two dining options: MainSail and Skiff Bar.
GUEST QUARTERS: Entering my suite, I was immediately captivated by a balcony offering a picturesque view of the harbor. The suite boasted two bathrooms, one half bathroom near the entrance and a full bathroom in the bedroom, complete with Jack and Jill sinks. The living room area featured a dining table, a comfortable couch facing a large smart TV, and an alcove housing a supremely comfortable king-sized bed with one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever experienced. The overall ambience of the room was both spacious and cozy.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: The hotel offers a range of amenities, including an indoor pool, sauna and a two-floor fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. We indulged in the Saturday morning breakfast buffet at MainSail featuring waffle makers, omelet stations and a variety of breakfast meats. Our table with a harbor view provided the perfect backdrop for a delightful start to our day. Situated in a prime downtown Newport location, the hotel sits conveniently within walking distance of main attractions and renowned restaurants such as Bowen’s Wharf, The Shops at Long Wharf and The Sailing Museum.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- From valet to reception, the staff demonstrated exceptional service, efficiency and courtesy throughout our stay.
- The hotel’s central location allowed for easy exploration of Newport’s main attractions and dining establishments, enhancing the overall convenience and enjoyment of our stay.
