It’s spring and a delicious new series of culinary experiences is planned at Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Dubbed Origins of Mexico, this new, chef-led dining series is immersive in nature and lusciously focuses on regional flavors, local traditions and culinary practices from across Mexico.

“We are honored to showcase the extraordinary depth and diversity of Mexico’s culinary traditions through ‘Origins of Mexico,’” said Vinod Narayan, general manager, Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection. “By bringing together the country’s most visionary chefs and mixologists, we offer our guests an unparalleled opportunity to explore Mexico through food, spirit storytelling, and immersive experiences.”

This event will showcase Mexico City’s Licoreria Limantour, named one of The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2024. Guests can settle in at Itzam Bar to enjoy a mixology session led by pros from Licoreria Limantour, then head to Resol restaurant for a chef-led dining event.

Southern Mexico (May 2–4)

This event features Levadura de Olla, named LATAM 50 Best Restaurants 2024. The evening will celebrate ancestral cooking techniques and traditional cooking practices from the Oaxaca-based dining venue.

Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz Review

Switzerland’s most storied ski town (the one, in fact, credited with pioneering the very concept of Alpine tourism), St. Moritz legendarily attracts the rich, the famous, celebutantes and the wannabes. Yet, there’s something compellingly earthy about the place, a town on a lake rich with natural environs, where winter sports and summer activities draw athletes and mountain lovers aplenty. As at the mountain restaurants (where some arrive by chairlift rather than muscle movement, and all types of diners and imbibers convene), Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz straddles the old and new, the lavish and the understated. The hotel, one of St. Moritz’s oldest, opened as a spa haven in 1864, set atop a healing mineral spring.

Pause for a Harmonious Blend of Wellness and Nature in Hong Kong

I was illiterate when I first visited Hong Kong. Aged 17, I couldn’t understand a word of the Chinese neon signs. But 40 years later, I have changed, Hong Kong has changed, and my ability to understand the signs has changed. Now I point my phone at the unintelligible script, open a translation app, and everything magically morphs into English. The exotic becomes mundane: Shoe Store. Office Supplies. Laundry. Dentist. Insurance Broker.
