Peoria Marriot Pere Marquette, located in downtown Peoria, Illinois, recently underwent extensive renovations to flaunt a new and improved design. The redesign pays tribute to the hotel’s historic past with a modern twist.
“From the time the hotel opened its doors during the Roaring ‘20s to present day, Pere Marquette has been renowned as a hub for social and diplomatic life,” said Tom Hobson, general manager, Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette. “The grand dame is back, and it’s lively, stunning and timelessly modern. We’ve reimagined an icon by integrating the hotel’s history and culture into a vibrant experience for both new and returning guests.”

The Great Room now features a Bourbon-centric bar at the center of the space, with textured red velvet and gold metal accents accentuating the grandeur of the room. The hotel’s presidential suite includes a rich palette of bright white and bold colors to strike the perfect balance between playfulness and refined. The suite comes adorned with artwork of past presidents. In addition to the two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, the 1,800-square-foot suite boasts a complete separate living room and dining room.
Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette hosted countless celebrities and pivotal figures in its past, from former presidents like John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan to Bob Hope and Tony Bennett.
