Paradisus by Meliá recently unveiled new experiences to connect guests to the local culture, known as Destination Inclusive, and touching nearly every aspect of the resort, including design, amenities, food and beverage, entertainment and guest activities.
“At Paradisus by Meliá, the destination plays a key role in creating a genuine adventure,” said Susanna Mander, global director of Brand Marketing, Paradisus by Meliá. “We are so excited to provide guests the opportunity to discover the infinite pleasures of a vacation like nothing they have ever experienced before. These new offerings give our guests the chance to discover secret corners, enjoy authentic cuisine, meet local artists, and explore local destinations, providing a deeper understanding of their special culture.”
Destination Inclusive experiences, one-of-a-kind off-property excursions, and only available for guests of the new Nikté and The Reserve suite categories, are carefully curated by local experts to connect guests with nature and the resort surroundings. Some of these include visiting a local cenote with a Mexican shaman at Riviera Maya resorts, or participating in yoga at a thousands-year-old canyon in Cabo San Lucas. The experiences change throughout the year at the advice of local curators.
Nikté at Paradisus by Meliá elevates the suite experience with premium room categories, turndown service, premium minibar, personal destination concierge, priority dinner reservations, one complimentary dinner at Sal Steak Cave and a water ritual at YHI Spa. The Reserve includes access to adults-only spaces and an adults-only program.
Paradisus made its European debut on March 24, when Paradisus Gran Canaria opened its doors.

Oct 28, 2024All Eyes Turn to Houston for Cultural Diversity, Great Eats and Economic Heat
When I first moved to Houston from Boston, I knew little about Texas’ largest city beyond Astros fandom and petroleum companies. To my delight and surprise, I was quickly smitten with Bayou City. After living through the merciless winters in New England, I rejoiced in being able to kick back on my patio in a t-shirt in February. Houston’s famous hospitality perhaps stems from its reputation as America’s most diverse city, a magnet for transplants ranging from Middle America to the most far-flung corners of the globe. And, of course, all that wonderful food doesn’t hurt — craft barbecue, mom-n-pop Vietnamese restaurants and fine dining rivaling New York or Los Angeles. I won’tshift my loyalty from the Sox to the ’Stros any time soon, but I’m darn-tootin’ glad to be in Texas.
