Nomadic Road released new departures for the remainder of 2023. Each expedition is curated with extensive experiences guaranteed to go well beyond the ordinary with expeditions into uncharted territory. Guests are invited to drive capable expedition vehicles to far ends of the earth and take on adventurous journeys offering a true sense of achievement.
“At Nomadic Road we like to push things beyond the mundane and are always on the lookout for amazing destinations that fit with creating life changing motoring journeys,” said Venky, founder, Nomadic Road. “The exhilaration of driving expedition-ready vehicles and the feeling of being lost in the middle of nowhere with freedom to explore is unlike anything else. When it comes to organizing overland journeys, we strive to build the bond between man, machine, and mother nature.”
Guests are accompanied by a team of expedition specialists who take a deep dive into the destination. Trips range 12–15 days and include accommodations, meals and select activities.
New 2023 expeditions include:
Sept. 27–Oct. 9, Overland adventure across the world’s driest desert outside of the polar regions. As an unknown territory to most people, Argentina’s Atacama Plateau and Chile’s beauty of landscapes is truly humbling. The expedition takes guests across elevated plateaus of wildly striking and desolate landscapes filled with rare sites like salt flats, flamingos, ancient Incan trails, labyrinths, herds of llamas and turquoise lakes. Exploring this landscape requires serious effort but is a one-of-a-kind experience.
Considered one of the most secluded and underrated regions in the world, landlocked Bolivia offers unique landscapes with a rocky, treeless desert; almost vertical valleys and canyons; an unsullied rainforest; and more. Oct. 12–23, travelers go beyond the unknown and drive through slopes of ice-capped Andean peaks, including the plains of the Altiplano, the most extensive high plateau on earth outside of Tibet. Whether tracing the world-renowned Dakar Rally route or driving across the world’s largest salt flats of Salar De Uyuni, this trip pushes travelers out of their comfort zones.
Unlike any other country, Peru is home to the world’s most arid desert, the highest navigable lake and some of the deepest canyons, including the rugged Andes from which one of our planet’s largest rivers is located: the Amazon. Nomadic Road created a new motoring expedition across Peru showcasing the best of its wonders like The Nazca Lines, the world’s largest collection of geoglyphs. Explore some of the most treacherous routes used during the Dakar Rally. The 12-day journey runs Oct. 26–Nov. 6.
One of the greatest overland adventures in the world, Namibia offers some of the most stunning landscapes in Africa. Dec. 6–20, explore the majestic sand dunes of the world’s oldest desert and meet the crashing rollers along the Atlantic coast with this distinct route featuring a mix of extreme climatic conditions, unforgettable sights and challenging off-road driving. Explore Namibia’s rich tapestry, Stone Age rock art, wildlife, petrified forests and more.
