InterContinental Hotels & Resorts announced the signing of InterContinental Orlando, slated to open in 2028 along the renowned International Drive. Offering 700 guestrooms and 84 suites, this property will boast amenities like five restaurant and bar concepts, a 15,000-square-foot spa and wellness center, a pool, fitness center, and 106,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The new hotel will offer guests prime access to a variety of sports, entertainment, premier shopping and Orange County Convention Center, as well as the forthcoming Universal EPIC Universe. Dining outlets include a full-service restaurant, specialty restaurant, lobby bar and lounge, coffee shop, and a pool bar and grill.
In addition to vast meeting and events space, the hotel will also feature a business center and signature InterContinental lounge.

IHG continues its growth in the Americas with recent openings like InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue in Washington and InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk.
