Passenger experience elevated at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar: The airport introduced innovative digital wayfinding. QR Codes provide easy solutions through different digital touchpoints across the airport, helping travelers navigate from ORCHARD to LampBear, find one of many dining or retail experiences at airport, locate their departure gate and much more.
“We are constantly reviewing and evaluating our multiple digital touchpoints for passengers to ensure we meet their requirements,” said Mr. Suhail Kadri, senior vice president of Technology and Innovation, Hamad International Airport. “By investing and utilizing the latest innovative technological solutions and listening to global passenger requirements at our airport, we will continue to set and exceed industry standards.”
Travelers find the QR Codes across the airport at Flight Information Display Screens, Passenger Digital Assistance Kiosks and other touchpoints, and are compatible with all mobile devices. Hamad’s next generation WiFI allows for easy connection to the codes.
Digital Concierges at ORCHARD provide information about retail and food and beverage offerings, flight information, relaxation and rejuvenation options, and attractions. Then, passengers scan the QR Code to find their way to the point of interest. Passenger Digital Assistance Kiosks can be found at the North Plaza of the airport, near iconic LampBear.
