Mondrian, a leading brand within the Accor group, announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of Mondrian Shoreditch London. The hotel, owned by the Reuben Brothers, will open its doors Aug. 2, following a major overhaul and complete redesign by the award-winning London interior design studio Goddard Littlefair.
Littlefair led design for the guestrooms, public spaces and food and beverage venues. The hotel has been refreshed with the upbeat and individual spirit of Mondrian Hotels. The reception and lobby are playful and reflective with significant art installations. The double-height, ground-floor bar sports large-scale, hand-painted artwork on the concrete by Fred Coppin. The refurbishment in the guestrooms have a luxurious, theatrical aesthetic with fresh white brick walls and stunning artwork.
The 120-bedroom property, including 13 suites, is situated in the midst of Shoreditch, East London’s creative and cultural hub. The area captivates the energy and playful DNA of the Mondrian brand. The brand recognizes the cultural vibrancy of a place and intertwines guest offerings with local highlights and the essence of East London.
Mondrian Shoreditch will collaborate with local brands and personalities to highlight its lifestyle approach to hospitality. Guests can expect artistic pop-ups and live performances in The Screening Room. The property will also offer visionary dining and mixology concepts, a rooftop pool and lounge.
