Millennium Hotels and Resorts is transitioning Millennium Hilton Downtown into Millennium Downtown New York and adding the property into the Millennium portfolio of brands. The landmark hotel towers 55 stories over New York City, positioned nearby The Oculus, a transportation hub and retail center; World Trade Center; National September 11 Memorial & Museum; Wall Street; Battery Park; and South Street Seaport.
While the name changes from Millennium Hilton Downtown to Millennium Downtown New York, hotel amenities and services will not change. Guests can anticipate the same level of hospitality at the rebranded property and the other Millennium Hotels and Resorts in New York City, including the 626-room Millennium Broadway Hotel Times Square; Millennium Premier Times Square with 124 guestrooms; and the 480-room M Social Hotel Times Square New York. Highgate manages all four properties.
Millennium Downtown New York offers 3,350 square feet of meeting and event space; several of the flexible space rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to flood the spaces. Additionally, the property now joins My Millennium loyalty program so guests can earn points for stays and spend across the Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ portfolio.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts owns, operates and manages more than 145 hotels across 80 locations, with brands including Grand Millennium, Millennium, M Social, Copthorn and Kingsgate.

Feb 14, 2025Escape to the Côte d’Azur Any Season of the Year
It had been a long, rainy winter in Paris when I first made my escape to the French Riviera, a region in the south of France stretching along the coast from the France–Italy border to the Massif de l’Esterel rock formation. Feb 12, 2025La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, St. Martin Review
I recently visited La Samanna, a Belmond Hotel, located on Baie Longue (Long Bay) on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. Although most of the resort is on the French side of St. Martin, a very small piece sits on the Dutch side, Sint-Maarten, making it possible to walk from France to Holland, and back again, by taking two steps. Of course, since most of the resort’s guests speak English, everyone working at the resort speaks English as well.

Cruise Lines constantly evolve with the demands of travel, every day becoming more luxurious and modern – an evolution increasingly apparent when looking to ship swimming pools. Once a mundane addition to the ship deck and now a prime destination for sunning, swimming and imbibing, onboard pools have a habit of drawing in the eye and becoming the focal point of the entire ship. Indeed, many vacation-goers claim the pool as their social hub for their entire getaway. Feb 10, 2025Beaches, Parks and Family Attractions Make San Diego a Perennial Favorite
Of all the places in the world, San Diego still feels to me like the one that got away. With its warm ocean, outdoor lifestyle and chill attitude, there aren’t many reasons to leave once you’re there. Somehow, though, after college, I did leave, and so did my husband. Fast-forward a decade or so, after a blind date led to two boys, a house in the Los Angeles suburbs and a desire to share all the San Diego things with our teens during spring break.
