Four new suites have been added to the accommodation choices at The Alegra Hotel in Israel in the ancient village of Ein Kerem close to Jerusalem. The restored 1930s building, transformed into a 13-room boutique hotel, has local features including Jerusalem stone interiors blended with gorgeous, contemporary décor, king-sized beds tucked into stone niches, oversized showers, custom leather furniture and soft Egyptian “cotton flower” bed linens.

In the dining room, executive chef Amir Na’or prepares a daily menu with local ingredients including herbs, fruits and vegetables sourced from area markets and the hotel’s own orchards and gardens. There’s a contemporary business center with a boardroom overlooking a private courtyard, 24/7 concierge services, and an intimate spa with pampering treatments. The spa also boasts hot and wet saunas, and both indoor and outdoor areas with lush gardens overlooking the Judean Hills.
