Les Bateaux Belmond offers a fleet of seven luxury floating villas used for curated, personalized excursions. And now, the company announces the appointment of Chef Dominque Crenn as its first culinary curator, in time for the 2025 season. Crenn has three Michelin stars and has been recognized as one of TIME’s 100 most influential people in the world; she is also a champion of innovation, sustainability and equality, and draws inspiration from her French upbringing.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Les Bateaux Belmond to curate a one-of-a-kind dining experience that weaves together the beauty of the French countryside with my own culinary philosophy,” said Crenn. “The menus I’ve designed celebrate the finest local ingredients and time-honored techniques to pay homage to the region’s rich heritage. Together with Belmond, I hope to create lasting memories through unforgettable cuisine.”
In the role of culinary creator, Crenn will develop two signature menus for the boats in the Burgundy, Champagne and South of France regions. Each will include a starter, main course and dessert.
Additionally, Alouette, one of Les Bateaux Belmond’s floating villas, recently debuted a new itinerary through the winemaking waterways of Bordeaux, while the new Le Semaine des Grands Crus itinerary, on Amaryllis and Fleur De Lys, both in Burgundy, offers guests a week-long journey with exclusive access to all 33 Grand Crus. Guests can also book a five-night voyage through the Champagne region on Coquelicot.
