Located within the city’s historic district, Perry Lane Hotel — part of The Luxury Collection — offers 167 elegant guestrooms; a rooftop pool and sundeck; and 8,100 square feet of meeting and event space that includes a glass-enclosed ballroom, attached terrace and Rooftop Lawn.

The hotel also boasts three separate dining concepts, and participates in BioGreen360, a sustainability initiative that takes 100 percent of the hotel’s food waste and transforms it into fertilizer used to nourish the property’s plants and gardens.

Guests can enjoy a selection of curated experiences that take in the surrounding Low Country coast and marshes with a Private Shark Tooth Island Tour, Dolphin Eco Tour and Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Tour. Knowledgeable local guides can lead guests on private architectural walking tours that include a cocktail of choice. Competition for the oldest international trophy gets underway on European waters this month as Barcelona plays host to the 37th edition of the America’s Cup. In September, five yachts from the United States, France, Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom compete in The Challenger Selection Series to choose a worthy opponent to go up against the defending champion, Emirates Team New Zealand. The Finals take place Oct. 12–20, when these state-of-the-art, 75-foot yachts dock at Port Vell, a mere 10-minute drive from the cruise ship terminal at Port of Barcelona’s Adossat Quay.

Share Miles with Family and Friends with United Airlines

As you look ahead to winter travel, United Airlines and its MileagePlus loyalty program introduced MileagePlus miles pooling, which allows members to contribute and combine miles into a joint account. Groups of up to five members can now share and redeem miles in one linked account. As the first and only major U.S. airline to offer this feature, United also allows any MileagePlus member, whether relatives or close friends, to be in a pool with other members.

Relais Christine Review

Relais Christine, a posh 5-star Left Bank hotel occupies the former Hotel Particulier, a private mansion from 1607. Like many luxe Parisian townhouses, it was constructed around an imposing courtyard and hidden behind an impressively grand wooden doorway from the narrow, block-long Rue Christine. Its covered passageway leads to the landscaped courtyard, with its romantic seating areas.

Indulge in Wellness in an Oasis of Calm Aboard the New “Queen Anne”

The London traffic seemed to slog even slower than usual. The ride seemed never-ending. The anticipation was palpable. I was on a bus with fellow media, making our way from London’s Leicester Square to Southampton, England, to be among the first to step aboard Queen Anne, the first new cruise ship from Cunard Line in 14 years, just as it joined its sister royalty — Queen Mary II, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria — in plying the globe’s waters. With a capacity for 2,996 guests and measuring 1,058 feet in length, Queen Anne sails itineraries in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Western Europe and the Canary Islands.

Discover this Little-Known Gem of a Course in Roatán, Honduras

Roatán was one of those best-kept secrets known only to scuba divers and snorkelers when I first visited it in the 1990s. A skinny little island off the north coast of Honduras, it sits on the world’s second-largest coral reef, an underwater paradise stretching 625 miles along the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. With its white-sand beaches, clear waters and friendly people, Roatán couldn’t remain undiscovered, but it is still one of the Caribbean’s better preserved and more eco- conscious destinations. It is not entirely immune to hurricanes, but it lies to the west of most major storm tracks.
