La Dolce Vita Orient Express, Italy’s first luxury train, is slated to welcome guests in spring 2025. Ahead of the highly anticipated debut, booking for the all-inclusive itineraries is now open.
Guests may choose from eight round-trip journeys departing from Rome, visiting popular Italian destinations including Venice, Matera, Tuscany, Piedmont, Portofino, Abruzzo and Sicily. Trips cover nearly 10,000 miles of track through 14 regions and 131 cities across Italy. Experience the country’s diverse landscape from lakes and forests to mountains and city centers.
Train interiors follow a design concept from Dimorestudio, drawing inspiration from the 1960s and ‘70s Italian aesthetic. The train boasts 12 carriages with 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites and the La Dolce Vita suite, accommodating no more than 62 passengers in total.
Three-Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck oversees the culinary program, ensuring guests experience curated menus highlighting regional cuisine. Orient Express partners with wine and spirits exhibition brand Vinitaly for onboard wine selection, offering popular brands, rare vintages and everything in between.
“It is a privilege to join La Dolce Vita Orient Express at this key period in the revival of the iconic Orient Express brand and the launch of Italy’s first foray into luxury rail hospitality,” said Samy Ghachem, general manager, La Dolce Vita Orient Express. “La Dolce Vita Orient Express is set to offer an inimitable take on luxury rail travel, reigniting a bygone era through a contemporary lens, Italian style.”
