JW Marriott just unveiled its second resort in the Maldives with JW Marriott Kaafu Atoll Island Resort. Located in Kaafu atoll’s largest lagoon (just 15 minutes by boat from Velana International Airport), this new and luxurious retreat spans 80 private pool villas, include 47 overwater pool villas.

Each villa comes with expansive terraces, uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and access to pristine lagoons. The grandest villa, a three-bedroom ocean residence, blends luxury with unbeatable views for families, groups or friends seeking to reconnect and create lasting memories. Villas echo traditional Maldivian gedhoru huts, with kajan roofs and turquoise doors. Villas also boast floor-to-ceiling glass doors, open-air showers and calming tones.

The new JW resort boasts seven distinct dining venues and bars, from a restaurant serving international fare to an infinity pool bar to a signature steakhouse. There’s even a bar serving Peruvian cuisine and craft cocktails, as well as a fine-dining eatery offering elevated, traditional Indian dishes with Sri Lankan elements and local Maldivian flavors.

There’s an overwater spa, featuring exclusive treatments utilizing BABOR’s precision skincare products.
