Hyatt completes its extensive transformation of the former Confidante Miami Beach hotel to unveil the all-new Andaz Miami Beach, the first Andaz-branded property in Florida. Guests of the new hotel will enjoy a barrier-free, redesigned lobby; two reconceptualized pools and outdoor recreation experience; a spa, guestrooms and suites; dining venues; and meeting spaces.

The hotel will offer a first-of-its-kind ocean-view check-in experience. The hotel, comprised of three towers overlooking the beach, will include a restaurant outdoor terrace and second-level outdoor Andaz Lounge. The lounge will be a beverage-led destination set to be a gathering space for guests and locals. Three distinct dining venues will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner service. One of the spaces will be a craft cocktail bar.
In addition to these lively dining outlets, the hotel will include 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

In Springbrook National Park, about 90 minutes south of Brisbane, the sky is aglow. But this isn’t the sort of glittery glimmer I expected from Australia’s buzzy Gold Coast. Before arriving at what I imagined to look a bit like Miami’s South Beach in places (and it does along the coast in parts), I hadn’t focused much on thoughts of ancient trees, rugged outback and night skies luminous with glowworms. This nighttime nature foray, however, shows me another version of the Gold Coast ... one where nocturnal safaris veritably light up my life.

The organization asked me to serve as cochair with John Kelley, a member of the Advisory Board of FXExpress Publications, Inc. Last year’s event surpassed that of 2023, so we have big shoes to fill for 2025.
