Fashion-inspired, chic and contemporary, Hyatt Herald Square is the newest landmark in New York City’s iconic Herald Square, reflecting the neighborhood’s rich publishing history and neighboring Fashion District.

Designers Paul Vega and Vennie Lau of VLDG Inc. drew on the history of Herald Square as inspiration for the 122-room hotel’s style elements and color palettes to create a space that reflects its history and location. An inviting lobby, showcasing the works of nine local artists, features several themed communal areas including an espresso bar with café counter, an on-site market for on-the-go snacks and a library-themed lounge, bar and private dining space with comfortable seating and a bookshelf.

Pops of hot pink, a nod to the neighborhood’s fashion roots, and dark-wood furnishings accent a soothing natural palette. Combining fashion and publishing, in-room letterpress blocks feature quotes from well-known fashion designers. The hotel’s rooftop lounge, Up on 20 boasts, stunning views of the Midtown skyline, the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower.
