United Airlines terminals at George Bush Intercontinental Airport will receive new upgrades to improve passenger experience. The effort will include a partnership with OTG, a leading airport food, beverage and retail operator. Changes will include new restaurants created by famed chefs, thousands of iPads for passenger usage, local farm-to-terminal dining and newly designed spaces. “Our OTG team is excited about working with United to transform the airline’s terminals at George Bush Intercontinental Airport into a hot spot for wonderful food and great shopping. This will be a brand new airport experience for Houston travelers including restaurants inspired by local chefs, the addition of modern amenities such as iPads, redesigned gate areas and world-class shopping,” said Rick Blatstein, CEO, OTG. New dining options will include a Taqueria created by Chef Roland Laurenzo, credited with introducing fajitas to the United States; a seasonal pizza parlor from celebrated chef, Ryan Pera; a restaurant inspired by the combination of Cajun and Vietnamese cuisines; a panini bar from Chef Monica Pope; and a Houston-focused tavern from James Beard-recognized Chef Chris Shepherd. Airport iPads will allow passengers to order food, retail items and services for delivery at a restaurant or specific gate. The 8,000 iPads will also offer various pre-loaded entertainment.
