Holland America Line and A+E’s The HISTORY Channel just teamed up for a first-of-its-kind collaboration to allow guests to both learn and experience a destination’s history like never before. This exclusive partnership will transport guests to ancient ruins and legendary landmarks.

Several cruises will be curated in partnership with The HISTORY Channel, including the 14-day Arctic Journey & Northern Lights, seven-day Mediterranean Marvels of Pompeii, and seven-day Norwegian Fjords with Hardangerfjord. Other departures include the eastern Mediterranean with a focus on ancient empires, Arctic encounters and the region’s history of polar exploration, and northern Europe and its Viking heritage, among others.

The partnership also means unique shore excursions like gold panning and underground mine exploration; Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and the Pyramid of Sakkara; and Stavanger Old and New.
