The hotel sits in Charleston’s oldest neighborhood, established in the 18th century by Lord Anson, a British Navy Officer who, according to lore, won the neighborhood in a game of cards. Featuring 45 guestrooms, accommodations range from standard luxury guestrooms to a wide variety of large-suite configurations. Many guestrooms and suites feature 16- and 20-foot-high ceilings and exposed brick and timbers. Amenities include a Keurig coffeemaker, mini-fridge, wet bar (in all but four rooms) and 65-inch TV. The 871-square-foot Admiral Suite offers apartment-style accommodations with a walk-in shower, Peloton bike, dining table and gas fireplace.

A stay in the hotel includes complimentary continental breakfast, complete with fresh-baked goods, seasonal fruit and chilled juice.

Newly added Scarborough & Squirrel Bar offers elevated light fare and artisanal cocktails, beers and wines. This space will also include a poker room tucked away behind a discreet bookcase enclave.

Its capital of Charlottetown is a popular stop for Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Silversea, Seabourn and other cruise lines that bring passengers right into the heart of the small city.
