Costa Rica prepares to welcome its first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property, slated to open in 2025. Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste will boast 190 guestrooms, as well as 25 Waldorf Astoria-branded residences, all offering sweeping views overlooking the ocean. A presidential suite will also grace the property.
Upon arrival, guests enter the lobby, a place to relax, socialize and unwind. Waldorf Astoria Guanacaste will also offer an array of top-notch culinary experiences, with a variety of food and beverage outlets, including a signature bar and restaurant and gelato shop. The hotel’s amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, holistic wellness center, movement studio, outdoor yoga, lap pool and thermal pools. Guests will also enjoy three outdoor treatment rooms mimicking the appearance of a treehouse, with a selection of Waldorf Astoria Spa treatments to indulge in.

The property offers the perfect setting for group meetings and events, with about 10,000 square feet of meeting and event facilities, including indoor and outdoor space, an event lawn and a ceremonial pavilion for weddings.
The new hotel aims to highlight Guanacaste’s natural wonders, connecting guests to the local community. The hotel will offer convenient access to Guanacaste’s international airport, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, and two nearby beach towns filled with restaurants, bars and local shops.
