Last week, Hilton announced plans to debut in Guyana, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s continued growth in the Caribbean and Latin America region, where Hilton has tripled its presence in the last 10 years alone.
Hilton Georgetown and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown will be Hilton’s first hotels in the country, an important regional business hub. Georgetown also continues to be a promising tourism destination. Both properties will lie in the heart of downtown Georgetown where the Demerara River meets the Atlantic Ocean and will be part of a vibrant waterfront business and entertainment complex.
The new-build Hilton Georgetown will span 11 stories and offer 253 guestrooms and suites, as well as a lobby bar, signature restaurant and outdoor pool. DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown will include 158 contemporary suites, with guests welcomed with the brand’s signature warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie.
Both hotels sit approximately 6 miles from Ogle International Airport and offer easy access to an array of entertainment options, like historic sites and a national park.
