Formerly the historic Gray & Dudley Building, the building is an iconic structure in downtown Nashville’s arts district, offering an on-site art museum in the hotel which serves as a unique venue for meetings and social events. Its signature restaurant Gray & Dudley is a popular venue for locals and guests celebrating southern cuisine with locally sourced products from Nashville area producers and craft purveyors.

The hotel is just a 12-minute walk from either Nissan Stadium or Bridgestone Arena and less than that to Nashville’s famed entertainment and nightlife districts, Printers Alley and Broadway. True to Nashville’s burgeoning art scene, the hotel’s on-site contemporary art gallery showcases a rotating selection of highly curated exhibitions and site-specific installations reflecting modern culture, all of which are complimentary and open to the public.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel building originally served as the headquarters of the Gray & Dudley Hardware Company. Inspired by the property’s affinity and dedication to art, music and lively culture of downtown Nashville, design details from rich colors to highly patterned and textured materials are expertly entwined with elements of its storied past, such as its large arched windows and cast-iron columns. The hotel features 110 rooms and 14 suites, and guests will find wood floors, high ceilings and art and contemporary furnishings. A selection of suites on the eighth floor offers sweeping city views from a semi-private terrace, while the penthouse suite offers views of the city and Cumberland River from its wrap-around terrace, with a dining table for six indoors and a separate dining table for 10 outside.

From social events to intimate meetings, The Bankers Alley Hotel Nashville features 10,500 square feet of art-filled exhibition and meeting space across 10 meeting rooms, including gallery space, private dining rooms, a terrace and the museum.

Guests can enjoy an array of amenities including pet-friendly accommodations, valet parking, a business center and a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes. The hotel is part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning, guest-loyalty program for Hilton’s distinct hotel brands. Members who book directly have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider to allow members to choose nearly any combination of points and money to book a stay, an exclusive member discount, free standard WiFi and the Hilton Honors mobile app.

Escape to Tahiti for a Captivating Island-Hopping Cruise

The 118 islands of French Polynesia reveal themselves layer by fascinating layer, with the spirit of mana (vital force) linking them all the way from Tahiti to the remote reaches of the Marquesas. This is part of the world best savored on a journey that dives as deep into culture as natural beauty, both above and below the water’s surface. A cruise makes it easy to cover a lot of ground while unpacking just once (and sneaking in some work done in comfort, too, during at-sea days). And cruising offers particular appeal within this semi-autonomous French territory sprawling across nearly 2 million square miles of ocean and covering five archipelagos.

The Shelbourne Review

Facing the vast St. Stephen’s Green in the heart of Dublin sits the iconic and historic The Shelbourne. Few hotels master the perfect blend of history and luxury, but The Shelbourne gets it right. The site of the signing of the Irish Constitution in 1922 granting the Republic of Ireland its freedom from England, The Shelbourne has hosted its fair share of notable figures, from Michael Collins to Princess Grace Kelly to John Ford, the latter of which was the name of my suite.
