Iconic Gstaad Palace in Switzerland will open for its 110th summer season June 21. To celebrate, the property hosts a variety of special events to delight guests throughout the season.
The resort’s Olympic outdoor pool hosts a unique combination of yoga and stand-up paddleboarding on Friday night, starting June 28 until the end of August. Take part in a variety of outdoor activities with Alpinzentrum Gstaad, including wakeboarding, canyoning and river rafting. Tennis enthusiasts, visit during one of the resort’s tennis weeks, hosted by multi-grand-slam champion Roy Emerson. The ninth annual Gstaad Palace Challenge will be held Aug. 30–Sept. 1. Hotel guests enjoy a classic sports car rally with vintage cars.
Le Grand Restaurant serves Swiss BBQ Brunch on Sunday from a newly renovated terrace. Night owls can visit GreenGo, the resort’s on-site nightclub.
Gstaad Palace recently partnered with sustainable backpack company, Wili Wili Tree, providing guests with backpacks to use during hikes. “In Wili Wili Tree, we have found an innovative team who share our standards with regard to quality and design and will help us take another step towards a more sustainable future,” said Andrea Scherz, general manager and owner, Gstaad Palace.
Celebrate Switzerland’s 733rd birthday during Swiss National Day on Aug. 1 with drinks, music and a fireworks display finale.
