Grand Adirondack Hotel will debut in Lake Placid this fall. The property originally opened in 1927 as Hotel Marcy. It became a Lake Placid landmark, hosting an array of famous individuals, including Eleanor Roosevelt and Barbra Streisand.

Managed by Wright Investments, the 92-room boutique hotel is currently undergoing an extensive renovation of the guestrooms, public spaces and restaurant. It will also incorporate a rooftop bar with views of Mirror Lake and Whiteface Mountain. Located on Lake Placid’s popular Main Street, the hotel is the ideal home base for exploring all Lake Placid has to offer.

“The hotel has such deep cultural and historic significance, and we are creating a singular experience in the heart of The Adirondacks. The Grand Adirondack Hotel will be the gathering place for everyone that lives in the area, as well as our adventurous guests. What we have envisioned is much more than a hotel, it’s the living room, the heart of Lake Placid and the most exciting place to be in the six million acres of the Park,” said Larry Wright Jr., president and CEO, Wright Investments.

Immerse in an Invigorating Thermal Journey at Scandinave Spa Whistler

The glittering green pines and burst of jasmine lake beyond almost made me forget about the aches in my legs that slowly developed after the promised hour-long hike ran into the third hour. And, oh, there were my hips, showing up to remind me I was no longer in my 20s. I didn’t mind, though, because the vision that surrounded me during our guided walk through Garibaldi Park to Cheakamus Lake in Whistler, British Columbia, with Mountain Skills Academy and Adventures proved worthy of a thousand postcards.
