The all-new Wave House El Zonte now welcomes travelers to explore the coastal town of El Zonte and its iconic surf breaks along El Salvador’s Pacific Ocean coastline. The first upscale hotel in El Zonte, this unique property offers 19 residences catering to travelers seeking spacious accommodations with full kitchens, access to sprawling black-sand beaches, local restaurants and cafés, and world-class surf breaks. Located on what is nicknamed “Bitcoin Beach,” Wave House is just one hour by rental car from San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador.
Wave House residences range in size from studios to three-bedroom penthouse suites. Studio residences offer ocean views from a balcony or patio, while the two-bedroom residences feature a mix of ocean and mountain views from the terrace, bedroom, living room and kitchen.

Three-bedroom residences offer an added layer of luxury, with indoor-outdoor spaces and one residence featuring a private pool and views of the lush mountain landscape or the Pacific Ocean.
Each accommodation is designed with furniture by CHWashington Studio, a local Salvadoran design shop, while other select items were imported from Spain. Some pieces are sourced from local vendors, including textiles designed by Lulu Mena, a local women-owned brand, and pottery designed by the Wave House team and crafted by Shicali Ceramics, a non-profit organization employing those with disabilities.

The property showcases local artists in the lobby art gallery and partners with Bendito Fuego and other locally renowned chefs to offer a fine-dining experience. Wave House amenities include an infinity pool with views of the Pacific and a new collaboration with Minibar® Miami, a cocktail bar to enjoy poolside. A 5,000-square-foot rooftop deck offers panoramic ocean views; massage room; and rooftop wellness area with Jacuzzi and cold plunge, physical therapy/massage room, and lounge.

May 5, 2025Costa Rica Lures with Modern Amenities, Rural Charm and a Simple Way of Life
When I first visited Costa Rica, I was ostensibly there for business. But after a few days in this tropical paradise, my trip started to feel more like a vacation than work. This isn’t to say I neglected my obligations, rather that my work meetings felt more pleasurable (and productive) than usual. The gorgeous jungle landscape combined with the pura vida lifestyle is a simply infectious combination, and it’s unsurprising the nation consistently ranks as the most popular tourist destination in Central America.
