Learn to Paint Like a Dutch Master
Designed to pay homage to the city’s historic roots in art and culture, Pulitzer Amsterdam boasts an extensive art collection. The hotel now gives guests the chance to book the Paint like a Dutch Master offer. Through this offer, guests learn the techniques of famed artists like Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh and Jan Steen before trying their own hand at painting. The offer includes art workshops led by a local artist, as well as access to Rijksmuseum.
In addition to these features, guests of the offer will also enjoy breakfast at Pulitzer’s restaurant, Jansz, and coffee in Pulitzer Garden. For the ultimate artist getaway, guests can upgrade to the Art Collector’s Suite, a two-room apartment featuring pieces from the Pulitzer art collection.
Live Like a Dutch Aristocrat in Extraordinary Suites
Check into one of the Pulitzer’s Extraordinary Suites, its decorations inspired by the Dutch aristocrats who once lived in these canal houses. Each suite is different to offer guests a unique experience. The Book Collector’s Suite invites guests through its archway of books, while the Art Collector’s Suite features walls covered in both modern and antique original work. The Music Collector’s Suite comes with a wall of 18 trumpets along with a vintage record player and collection of records and the Antique Collector’s Suite features authentic antiques and décor. These suites provide guests with their own front door key to add to the canal house experience.

While cooler and milder weather in Los Angeles means a pleasanter travel experience (particularly for a Floridian accustomed to humid summer heat), the drier weather also often means lingering and visual effects on the skin, something I began to feel the moment I stepped off my plane in the City of Angels. Low humidity and winter weather might be great for my hair, but my skin was tired and dry and eager for some much- needed nourishment and hydration.
