Etihad Airways pushed up the launch date of its award-winning Airbus A380 service, featuring the only commercially available three-room suite in the sky, between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and New York (JFK) from Dec. 1 to Nov. 23.

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates updated the arrival date for A380 service in response to strong demand from customers traveling during the busy Thanksgiving holiday and for travelers attending the 2015 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix taking place Nov. 27–29. The new service will replace one of the carrier’s existing Boeing 777 services.

The overwhelmingly positive response we have received to our A380 service on our Abu Dhabi to London (LHR) and Sydney (SYD) routes, as well as for our upcoming launch to New York has exceeded our expectations,” said James Hogan, president and CEO, Etihad Airways. “With the early introduction of our A380 service into New York, we look forward to further redefining what world-class air travel can be for our guests traveling on Etihad Airways across all classes of service.”

Unique features include The Residence, offering a private three-room suite with a living room, double bedroom and separate ensuite shower room; nine First Apartments in first class providing completely private living spaces with a reclining lounge chair and ottoman; and 70 Business Studios located on the upper deck, featuring direct aisle access, a fully flat bed of up to 80.5 inches and a 20 percent increase in personal space.

Premium guests also have access to the Lobby, a luxurious lounge located between first and business class featuring two comfortable leather sofas and a staffed bar with a wide selection of hot snacks and refreshments.

Etihad Airways will offer daily service with the airline’s new A380 between the two cities, with EY103 departing Abu Dhabi at 3:20 a.m. and arriving at 9:10 a.m. in New York. The return flight, EY102, will depart New York at 2:30 p.m. and arrive the next day in Abu Dhabi at 12:15 p.m.
