The phenomenon that is the British television series Downton Abbey has swept across the planet like a period drama wind, leaving a population of addicted viewers in its wake. From Jan. 17–19, cast member Allen Leech (who plays chauffeur-turned-country gentleman Tom Branson) and author Jessica Fellowes (The World of Downton Abbey and The Chronicles of Downton Abbey) will be in residence for an exclusive Downton Abbey-themed weekend event at luxurious Sea Island Resort on Sea Island, Georgia.
Fellowes is the niece of the series’ creator, writer and executive producer Julian Fellowes. Throughout the weekend, she and Leech will host events that include an English Pub Quiz on Friday in the Cloister Ballroom, a Saturday Q&A, Saturday cocktails and private four-course dinner in the Ballroom; costume party, cocktail reception and dinner on Sunday (period dress encouraged!); and a screening of the latest episode of the series. Post-screening, there’s an After Party with cigars, port and dancing. Rates are based on choice of accommodations and length of stay.
