Colorado’s Historic Opera House Announces Summer Performance Dates

It’s not just Tosca and Puccini at Colorado’s collection of historic opera houses. This season includes a wide range of events, including films, live music, painting, theater, dance, a Wild West Fest and even a symposium on psychedelic medicine.

Comprised of five opera houses located within the Colorado Rocky Mountains, The Colorado Historic Opera Houses Circuit includes Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, celebrating the 40th anniversary of its re-opening in 1984. On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30, visitors can enjoy Wheeler Opera House and Aspen Music Festival and School History Tours.

June 20–23: Telluride Bluegrass Festival at Sheridan Opera House, Telluride

June 29–Aug. 4: Central City Opera 2024 Summer Festival

June 30–July 6: 21st Annual Telluride Plein Air Sheridan Opera House, Telluride

July 18–20: Into the Woods at Tabor Opera House, Leadville

July 19–20: Telluride Americana Music Festival at Sheridan Opera House, Telluride

Aug. 2–4: Leadville Boom Days Festival with Talent Show and Madams of Central Colorado
