A creator of stylish hotels and resorts in exotic destinations, General Hotel Management Ltd. culminates its 30thanniversary celebration this year with food and beverage experiences across Chedi properties. Chedi guests are welcome to partake in exceptional dining offers unique to each destination in celebration of GHM’s legacy in pioneering authentic luxury hospitality experiences.
The gourmet experiences follow GHM’s year-long festivities, which began in March and are still ongoing at several Chedi properties. At The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, Emirati hospitality begins by satisfying the tastes and palates of discriminating guests. The hotel’s Cooking Class in Style allows guests to learn from the chefs at The Restaurant, one of Sharjah’s best, and the culinary art of preparing Middle Eastern and Levantine cuisine.
A culinary theatre for the senses, this inspires guests’ discovery of new cooking techniques they can later replicate at home, while savoring the flavor of Sharjah through delicacies made with unsparing attention to ingredients, taste and appearance.
Available all year-round, the cooking class is priced at $82 per adult and comes with another option with additional features at $273 for four adults. This offer includes a three-course lunch menu following the cooking class, a copy of the recipes and certificate of participation to commemorate the experience.
At The Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland, property, an immersive and memorable experience with some of the world’s finest wines awaits guests. Guests can also elect to participate in The Chedi Andermatt’s Gault Millau Dine & Style offer. The offer features a four-course dinner menu and dedicated wine pairing at The Restaurant. Guests are introduced to the hotel’s award-winning wine selection, which won first place under the Sommelier’s Best, Gourmet & Stars and Best Sparkling Selection categories of the Swiss Wine List Award 2022. As part of the hotel’s culinary offer, guests have access to The Spa & Health Club with a $52 credit for The Spa for each person, and guests can start their mornings at The Chedi Grand Breakfast Buffet.
Prices for the Gault Millau Dine & Style offer start at $1,730 for two persons. The offer is valid for stays of at least two consecutive nights in a room or suite of guests’ choice.
In addition to the two properties listed above, GHM’s hotel portfolio includes The Chedi Muscat, Oman, and The Chedi Hotel and Residences Luštica Bay, Montenegro. With seven projects in the pipeline, plans for The Chedi brand include the highly anticipated The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha, Qatar, scheduled to open Nov. 1, aligning with the 2022 World Cup, which starts Nov. 20.

Nov 27, 2024Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel Review
There are a few words that come to mind when the subject of airport hotels comes up. Usually, fun, cute and lively aren’t on that list. When general manager Evgeny Vreijling or his team members welcome guests, they insist Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is not an airport hotel but a hotel that happens to be near the airport. He also emphasizes that, while Amsterdam is regarded as the gateway to Europe, the hotel was designed to be a gateway to the rest of the Netherlands.
