Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood celebrates Oktoberfest in its own unique style – and in its own time. The 17th annual Fremont Oktoberfest (Sept. 20–22) draws inspiration from Munich Oktoberfest, but in true Fremont fashion, puts its own unique twist on the event.

Just as it is in Munich, the main focus of the festival remains beer. Fremont Oktoberfest successfully incorporates the new with the old by showcasing a handful of traditional German festival beers alongside more than 100 predominantly local microbrews.

Of course, no Oktoberfest would be complete without a fresh bratwurst charred to perfection. Fremont Oktoberfest in September showcases its own version via The Grilled Cheese Experience.
