Celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month (September), InterContinental Los Angeles is offering visitors its own exclusive bourbon blend, not available anywhere else.
The hotel teamed with Angel’s Envy, the world’s highest-rated bourbon created by legendary master distiller Lincoln Henderson, to celebrate by developing its own custom blend through Angel’s Envy “Art of Blending” program.
Throughout September, the hotel’s lobby lounge is offering pours of the custom blend as well as the distillery’s highly celebrated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, finished in port wine barrels, and Angel’s Envy Rye, finished in hand-selected Caribbean rum casks. Fans of the limited edition InterContinental Los Angeles blend can take home a bottle for $65.
In addition, Executive Chef Jonathan Wood created several dishes that pair well with bourbon, including bourbon glazed crawfish and dirty rice and maple bacon donuts.
Guests are encouraged to participate in the Angel’s Envy “Toast the Trees” social media promotion by uploading a photo of an Angel’s Envy cocktail or bottle to social media with #AE4TheTrees. Angel’s Envy launched the promotion to help combat today’s barrel shortage and is planting one white oak tree for each time the hashtag is used this month.
