Cabot Citrus Farms, on Florida’s Nature Coast, is now officially open. Representing Cabot’s first U.S. destination (the rest are in Canada), the property is set on 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty and features two 18-hole golf courses, two unique shorter courses, luxury real estate and accommodations, curated experiences, and a host of amenities ranging from axe throwing to bass fishing to pickleball.
Available for nightly rentals, two- and four-bedroom cottages offer a serene indoor and outdoor living space, fully customized kitchen and luxurious ens-uite bathrooms for each well-appointed bedroom.

Located just 50 minutes from Tampa and 80 minutes from Orlando, Cabot Citrus Farms offers the perfect balance of laid-back Southern charm and urban accessibility. Cabot Citrus Farms sits among the rolling hills, ancient moss-covered oaks and sand pines of Florida’s picturesque Nature Coast.
Citrus Farms also offers a selection of two-story Fairway Homes. Carefully situated along the 10th hole of Roost, Fairway Homes reflect the essence of Cabot Citrus Farms. Each home extends the experience outdoors with large alfresco spaces, peaceful views and a private pool for ultimate relaxation.
Owners and guests can enjoy fully stocked comfort stations; a golf pro shop; sporting club; and The Porch, an area to gather and relax with games and food and beverage options. The Grange Hall serves as a clubhouse and central gathering space, featuring a diverse menu, indoor and outdoor seating areas, coffee shop, bar, and a cozy outdoor firepit lounge. Additional amenities to follow this year include a racquet club with tennis, pickleball and padel, and adult and family pool areas.

Cabot Citrus Farms’ new sporting club offers axe throwing with custom-built targets; Five Stand shooting, a compact version of a sporting clays course; archery for all skill levels; and bass fishing with hands-on instruction and all-inclusive fishing gear for a memorable catch-and-release adventure. Visitors can also enjoy hiking, biking and nature trails at neighboring Withlacoochee State Forest; water sports such as canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding in spring-fed rivers and bountiful lakes at Crystal River; world-class fishing in the Gulf of Mexico; and much more.
Karoo is an 18-hole “adventure golf” masterpiece, designed to showcase some of the world’s widest Bermuda fairways, expansive greens, multiple routes and bold contours. The second 18-hole course, Roost, takes golfers on a journey back in time to the relaxed charm of Old Florida with canopies of moss-draped trees and sandy soil. The Squeeze is a 10-hole course blending diverse, dramatic terrain with a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere. Small on size but big on golf, The Wedge is an 11-hole, par-3 course with expansive waste areas, sloping greens and varied lies. The Wedge also allows golfers to enjoy the course past dark.
With sustainability at its core, Cabot is the first multi-property brand to enroll every golf course and surrounding built environment into Audubon International’s comprehensive, all-inclusive Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification program. The entire Cabot Citrus Farms property is under one certification umbrella, including golf courses, clubhouse facilities, lodging, real estate, restaurants and retail.

Cabot Citrus Farms joins a growing portfolio of The Cabot Collection properties, including Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Cabot Highlands in Scotland, Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia and Cabot Bordeaux in France.

May 5, 2025Costa Rica Lures with Modern Amenities, Rural Charm and a Simple Way of Life
When I first visited Costa Rica, I was ostensibly there for business. But after a few days in this tropical paradise, my trip started to feel more like a vacation than work. This isn’t to say I neglected my obligations, rather that my work meetings felt more pleasurable (and productive) than usual. The gorgeous jungle landscape combined with the pura vida lifestyle is a simply infectious combination, and it’s unsurprising the nation consistently ranks as the most popular tourist destination in Central America.
