Palm trees and warm weather in January? I visited Miami last month, leaving one of the coldest days in the Northeast behind me. True to form, it was warm, sunny and quite frankly perfect!
I was one of the lucky few to visit clients in one of the hottest cities in the southeastern part of the United States, and I could tell that most of those I met with agreed with me. They loved sharing where they lived, talking about their favorite parts of the city and why Miami was so special to them. Whether it was because this was their native home or the weather, the water, the beaches, the lush vegetation, the culture, art, their job, we all agreed there was no better place to be at the time.
Miami hosts an international airport, the world’s busiest cruise port and is a stop-over to reach other popular destinations. The Port of Miami has a lot happening, with several new terminals opening soon hosting some of the largest if not the largest cruise ships.
A favorite spot for me is South Beach: fond memories, loads of fun, people-watching, bicycle riding, lunch or dinner with friends and everything else that’s right in front of you. The Art Deco buildings, white-sand beaches, shopping — Miami has a lot to offer!
Nothing is better than tooling around in the warm weather, meeting new friends, learning more about them and their businesses, all waterside. Not sure why we call this work, but I’ll take it any day!
Can’t wait to see you at the next stop!

Remarkable Medellín
Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.
