Winter in my area of the Northeast has been snowier than recent years. We had several back-to-back snowstorms, accumulating about seven or eight inches of snow in one week as compared to barely an inch of snow all winter last year. Combine the snow with staying home due to COVID-19 restrictions, and I am more ready than ever for spring!

To pass these last cold, snowy days, I’ve taken advantage of indoor time to do things around the house, including assembling new furniture, cooking, doing Zoom game nights with friends, catching up on movies and shows, looking through old clothes to donate, reading and doing at-home workouts.

Today is the first 50-degree day I remember experiencing in a while. I’ve found myself daydreaming about warm-weather activities I’m looking forward to in the months to come, including hiking, dining outdoors, biking, taking daytrips to nearby towns and planning trips for this summer and beyond.

That being said, we could easily still see a snowstorm in March or April, as we have in previous years. In the meantime, I will enjoy the 50-degree days and sunshine.
